H.R. Britton is an actor, storyteller and educator, originally from the Midwest, who has spent the last 20 years on the East Coast. He is the curator of “Stories to Scenes,” in Boston, (a comedy-improv meets storytelling mashup), and a member of the board of MassMouth (Boston’s answer to The Moth). In New York, he was the host and curator of “Lower East Side Stories” at the Tenement Museum, and one of the cohosts of Tammany Mondays at the Huron Club. In addition to the little stories he performs at story slams and open mikes, he performs full length solo shows drawn from his own life (Melting in Madras, Jesus Rant) or adapted from anxiously comic literature, (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Nikolai Gogol’s The Nose.) He has performed across North America, and even got flown to India for a festival. For the past 5 years, his main job has been Being Dad. He is grateful to Robin Bady for all her support and to have the opportunity at a final storytelling show in New York before moving back to Madison, Wisconsin.
